Fireworks: Removing Objects

In this assignment, you'll use the rubber stamp tool to remove a pole from a mountain scene.

WIth the rubber stamp tool you pick up a circle of colors from one part of the picture and stamp it on other parts of the picture. The tool duplicates the texture of what you pick up so you can replace the pole with patterns from the surround area.

1. Right click on the mountain image to the right and click Copy

2. Start Fireworks

3. Create a new file

Select the File menu and then New.

Click OK

4. Paste the image into Fireworks

Select the Edit menu and then Paste

5. Zoom to 150% and scroll over to the silver pole on the right

 

 

6. Remove the pole

a. Click on the rubber stamp tool.

b) Click just to the left of the ple to pick out the color pattern under the mouse cursor

c) Click over the silver pole to copy a circle of color and hide part of it

d) Click several more times over the pole to remove more of it
 

e) Click on the rubber stamp tool again to pick up a different color

f) Change the Size in the properties window to get a smaller or bigger rubber stamp circle

 

 

7) Remove the entire pole and the sign using the rubber stamp tool

 

 

8) Click on the blur tool

9) Paint with the blur tool over the area where the pole was to blend in your changes

When you're done the pole and sign should be gone.

 

 

10) Reduce the image size

a) Select the Modify menu, then Canvas, then Image Size

b) Set the width to 800

 

 

11) Export and turn in the image using steps 7-12 from this page
